Terms of Use (EULA) for SecureDoc

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SecureDoc (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on iOS devices that you own or control.

3. Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Rent, lease, lend, sell, or redistribute the App
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

4.1 Purchase Types

SecureDoc offers:

One-time purchases for premium features
Auto-renewable subscriptions for ongoing access to premium features

4.2 Payment

All purchases are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system
Prices are displayed in your local currency
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation

4.3 Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store Account Settings
No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period

4.4 Free Trials

If a subscription offers a free trial:

You will be charged when the trial period ends unless you cancel before it expires
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

4.5 Refunds

All purchases are final. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through the App Store. We do not process refunds directly.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your device and Apple ID
All documents and content you create or store in the App
Backing up important documents (we recommend using iCloud or other backup solutions)
Complying with all applicable laws when using the App

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
Guarantees that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Damages arising from your use or inability to use the App

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices. Key points:

We do not collect personal information
All documents are stored locally on your device
Photo access is used only for app functionality

9. Updates and Changes

We may:

Update the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance
Modify these Terms at any time by posting updated Terms in the App
Discontinue the App or certain features with or without notice

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

Your license to use the App ends immediately
You must stop using the App and delete it from your devices
Active subscriptions will continue until the end of the current billing period

11. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services. In case of failure to conform to warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund (if applicable), and Apple has no other warranty obligation.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany. For users in the EU, you also have rights under EU consumer protection laws.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App.
